FYI Since its release, “Frozen” has earned $1.2 billion worldwide, becoming the fifth-highest-grossing film of all time and by far the highest-grossing animation. That’s not to mention two Academy Awards, a BAFTA, a Golden Globe, a soundtrack that’s garnered more than a million album sales and seven million Spotify streams, official YouTube video views in the hundreds of millions, and a DVD that became Amazon’s best-selling children’s film of all time based on advance orders alone. Wow!
On our last Friday before holidays we went to the library with some of the other classes to listen to the small choir that Mrs. Unworth had been working with during her time at BEST. One of the songs they sang was "Do You Want To Build A Snowman" from the Disney "Frozen" movie and when we returned to class we watched a version of it on YouTube because they had enjoyed it so much. Goodness! The children, girls AND boys, began singing with the video under their breaths and knew Every. Single. Word. They slowly added in a few waving arms and the volume crept up. I finally told them to belt it out as loud as they would like- let's hear them! And boy did they sing, with joyous abandon and big smiles. They loved every minute of it and so did I. I was smiling as hard as they were. Of course, we couldn't stop with just one song and sang a few others from the same movie. They obviously love it and have watched it many times. I'm wondering how many Annas, Elsas and Olafs will be running around in 20 years.
