- Saturday, Sept. 30 is our National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. There will be no school on Monday, Oct. 2 in lieu.
- Please return library book by Tuesday in its special bag so we can get a new one.
- Monday, Oct. 9 is the Thanksgiving holiday. Enjoy!
- PAC pizza orders for October are due back by Friday, Oct. 6. Pizza lunch occurs Friday, Oct. 13.
- Tuesday, Oct. 10 will be our library day due to the holiday Monday.
- BEST will have our second fire drill Wednesday, Oct. 11.
- Team Awesome will have school bus safety training at the school the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 11 with a real bus!
- Thursday, Oct. 12 is individual photo day. Thankfully the Kindergarteners are often first so we can stay clean and spiffy >mostly< for our pictures. Previews and ordering will take place online and a code will come home soon afterward.
- Friday, Oct. 13 is a possible Fresh Air Friday. We will confirm closer to the date.
- BEST will host a Scholastic Book Fair on Monday, Oct. 16 and Tuesday, Oct. 17. Times will be posted.
- Wednesday, Oct. 18 dismissal will be at 12:40 for informal reports and parent/ teacher meetings if need be. We'll let you know what those will look like closer to the date.
- Friday, Oct. 20 is a non-instructional day and Team Awesome will stay home.
- Please send a water bottle with your child's name on it in their packs every day.
- Please send utensils with your child in their lunch kits. Make sure they are ones you are willing to maybe not get back although we encourage the children to reuse even plastic utensils.
- Please do NOT send toys or items from home to school. These things get lost or broken and cause issues and often crying in our learning spaces.
- If your child is exhibiting illness symptoms of any kind they must be kept home. Thank you.
- Please return your child's Take Home zipper bag to school with them each morning. Any items that need to be sent to the office can be returned in the bag.
- BEST is looking for lunchtime supervisors and PAC members. Contact the office if you are interested.
- Scholastic flyers are available here. All Scholastic orders can be done online whenever you like. Our class code is RC210022.
- The sight words we are learning right now: a, I, like, the, no, you, Mom, Dad. Please feel free to practice at home.
