This is it- the very last Friday Housekeeping for this school year. Some of you are relieved, I know, and some are sad, because it means Team Awesome is ready to move on to grade one and they aren't very little any more. Remember how small and vulnerable they seemed in September and how hard it was to let them go at the door? Now they hardly look back when they say their goodbyes in the morning. The new kindergarteners in the fall always seem so young and dependent in comparison with the ones that leave me for the summer at the end of June and I know this year won't be any different.
- Monday, June 26, we will be hosting our reading buddies from Mrs. Webber's class for a mini celebration in the afternoon.
- Tuesday, June 27, we will be taking an all-day trip to Isobel Lake with Mrs. Farber's class. More information has been posted.
- Wednesday, June 28, Susan Hammond from the BLSC will be joining us for an afternoon of bubble exploration outside.
- Our school items will be coming home Wednesday, June 28 or Thursday, June 29, so expect a bag/folder. Don't forget to take inside shoes!
- Thursday, June 29, is Team Awesome's last day in Kindergarten with an early dismissal time of 12:00. We will have an end-of-year, Intermediate awards assembly at 10:30ish and the Ks will be giving the Gr. 6s a flower as they enter the gym. You are welcome to join us. If you are leaving for holidays early, please let me know so I can get your child's things together as soon as possible.
- Final report cards will be coming home with the children on Thursday.
- THANK YOU for all the parent help these last weeks with supervising field trips. The children have had a great time and we really can't do it without you- I mean it.
- I will post a few last videos late next week or early the week after so please check back for them.
