Our Christmas concert is fast approaching and the students in Ms. Bowden's class are working on a 50's style dance of Run Run Rudolph. As a result, I am looking for some assistance from parents in creating the right look for the students' costumes.
For the boys, I would like them in jeans and a white shirt (if it has a logo or writing it can always be turned inside out) and sunglasses where possible.
The girls' costume is where I will need some help from parents. I would like to create "poodle" skirts for the girls. I have black felt which I am creating a poodle template for - if you are willing to help trace and cut out these poodles (there will be 9 in total), please let me know via email ([email protected]). Assistance with this task would be greatly appreciated!
Also, if your daughter has a skirt about knee length that could serve as a poodle skirt that we could pin a felt poodle to, please send it with her to school with her name on it and we will get a poodle attached to it (just safety pins) so that it is ready for the concert.
If you happen to have some material you are willing to donate to make a skirt out of, or are willing to help us make a skirt, please let me know at: [email protected]
So, the girl's costume would be a poodle skirt and a plain coloured top (white or pastel colour would be ideal). If their hair can be done in 50's style, that would be even better!
For any further information about the Christmas concert, including a video of the song we are working on, please check out Mrs. Phillips Fine Arts blog or email me directly at: [email protected] , or contact me at the school.
Thank you,
Mrs. Phillips
