![]() Having a day at home yesterday was lovely but I find Nov. 11 often produces some sober musings, and well it should. I spent most of the day doing the usual must-be-done things but also took a few moments to remember why I was at home and not at work. Our Remembrance Day assembly this year was a prerecorded video we watched together in our classroom on Wednesday. It is a very somber occasion, which I'm sure was felt even with the unusual delivery as some of the children were feeling sad afterward. Truth to tell, I always feel emotional at the Remembrance assembly too. So while I am thankful to have had a day at home, it seems ungracious to revel in it as the cost for it was so high. I hope you took a moment to Remember.
![]() Mrs. Philips will be in our classrooms between recess and lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays to sing, dance, act and do art projects with Team Awesome while we try to get caught up on things (imagine a hamster running on a wheel). We are always interested to see what exciting things Mrs. Philips has planned for us and we are going to enjoy all her activities this year!
