An oldie but a goodie. As the mothers of sons, we both cry every time we read the book 'I'll Love You Forever' by Robert Munsch. We hope you enjoy this video interpretation. Happy Mother's Day.
Hello Families,
Ms. Farber and Ms. Bowden's Kindergartens will be putting on a short performance entitled "Aquarium" on Tuesday, May 30 at 11:15am in the School Gym and you are Invited! We will be performing for the families of the classes, as well as a few classes from the school. Students have been working hard on learning their parts for the performance and are eager to share their learning. Our story takes place in the Ocean, and thus the students represent different creatures of the sea. The students are divided into two groups for this performance - the Octopus and the Sea Creatures. Students who are part of the Giant Octopus: Haven, Elsie, Charlie M, Lucas J, Brinlee, Stewart, Harper, Coltt, Nixon, Diehen These students make up the Octopus and thus can dress in red/orange/yellow/brown coloured clothing. Even a shirt of that colour would work. Students who are Sea Creatures: Zaylah, Jasper, Paisley, Kinsley, Clay, Tarjan, Ruben, Ethan, Owen, Vinnie, Hayden, Kayden, Vidhya, Oakley, Chuckie, Julia, Malcolm, Madison, Lucas M, Tema, Daxton, Hailee These students are all different kinds of sea creatures and thus can wear blues and greens or any of the colours that sea creatures wear. King, Paisley, Vidhya, and Malcolm are also scuba divers for one small part, but don't worry too much if you don't have costume parts for this. Even a swimming mask or snorkling mask would do fine. If students are planning on anything more than a shirt or simple piece of clothing for their costume, they should bring their costumes on the morning of the play and we will help them into their costumes after recess. If you have any questions, please let me know at the school or email me at: [email protected] Mrs. Phillips Bert Edwards Fine Arts Teacher All families are invited to attend the BEST Show n Shine Car Show at Prince Charles Park on May 14th 10am-3pm. This community car show will donate proceeds to BEST for a new playground. This generous offer is so greatly appreciated and we hope to see you there!
We have planned our BEST Intermediate Track and Field Meet for May 8th and 9th. Our PAC will be hosting a concession on these days selling a variety of snacks and drinks. Both the intermediate and primary classes will have the chance to purchase items. A pre-order form for primary classes was sent home on May 2nd. This way, families can preplan their purchase choices in order to expedite the concession lineup. Primary classes will have pre-set times to visit the concession, while intermediate groups will visit the concession during their station rotation.
