This Friday, Sept. 13, BEST will be hosting our Terry Fox Run. All classes will meet in the gym at 1:20 to watch a brief video tribute to Terry Fox. After the tribute, students will be led onto the primary field, where an athlete from TRU will lead the students through warm-ups, while teachers/CEA's supervise. After the warm-ups, intermediate students will run (led by Mr. Wielgoz) down to Schubert drive, and then along the River's Trail to Westmount School, and then return to BEST. Primary students will run laps of the inside of the school fence. The gaps/gates in the fence will be manned by supervisors to keep the students going in the right direction. If you would like to send a Toonie for Terry there will be a donation jar in the classroom. It promises to be hot so please dress your child for the weather and a hat is a good idea. If you would like to join our class at the event please feel free but dismissal will occur from the classroom NOT from the field so please do not take your child from the field unless you have talked to me first.
