- As usual, library books are due back for exchange by next Tuesday.
- April's Family Project (kite & tail) can be sent when finished.
- Report cards came home with your child. Please sign and return the envelope for our last reporting period of the year.
- There will be an assembly on Monday, April 15 to introduce our new social responsibility theme.
- Mrs. Bernice Jensen will be joining us for a bit on Monday, April 15 for some drumming.
- Mrs. Farber's Friends & Team Awesome will be joining forces to participate in some Easter activities on Thursday, April 18. Please send 2 hard boiled eggs with your child that day.
- Friday, April 19 is Good Friday and the beginning of the long Easter weekend.
- Monday, April 22 is Easter Monday and Earth Day. Enjoy!
- Friday, April 27 is a Fresh Air Friday. We won't have too many more FAFs down at the river as the water often rises in May (or sooner), leaving no beach area. When that happens we continue our FAF activities at the school or find other sites to explore.
- We will participate in community groups the afternoon of Monday, April 29.
- We are down to 10 pairs of scissors from 25. That means we each need to share with a partner. If you find a pair of our scissors at home (they sometimes go home in lunch kits), please return them.
- If you make an online book order from Scholastic that is $30 or more, use the code 'CLIFFORD' to choose a free book worth up to $6 this month.
- Mrs. Leonard is looking for donations of white buttons for a project she is working on. If you have some you would like to donate, leave them with me or put them in the jar on the office counter.
- April sight words are: all, boy, his, girl, not, some, that, name, what. If a word comes up repeatedly in our studies we will sometimes add it to our words for the month. Please feel free to practice them at home.
- BEST monthly newsletter can be found here.
Doesn't it feel like things get a little crazy when the weather warms up in the spring? Practice starts- for spring soccer, baseball, flag football etc etc etc. Times that by multiple children with multiple activities. And now the joys of yard work and gardening are added on top of the usual list of inside jobs like house cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, meal preparation etc etc etc. And that's just the weekend chores. Notice I'm not even mentioning 'spring cleaning' (what's that?). Add in the additional responsibilities during the school/ work week and its enough to make you feel like your head is going to explode. Where do we find the time?!? Almost makes one pine for the dull dreary cold months of winter when snuggling up with a cuppa and fuzzy blanket in front of the TV to do some bingeing is totally acceptable. Almost.
