Every year each new group of children has a proclivity towards a certain type of activity. One year the children couldn't get enough of the tiny cars and another it was insisted that colouring be put out every single day. This year Team Awesome loves to be creative. Whether it be at the art table or with one of the hands-on creation toys such as Legos or Brain Flakes, the children enjoy opportunities to create with their brains and hands. Collaboration and teamwork, creativity and imagination, critical thinking and problem solving are essential areas for development to enable Team Awesome to be 21st Century learners and their love for building and being innovative targets all of these skills. When it comes to 'thinking outside the box', Team Awesome is developing the ability to confront problems in ways other than the ways we normally confront problems and cultivating the ability to look at things differently from the way we typically look at things, which bodes well for their future.

- There is an assembly the afternoon of Monday, June 18 and family group activities following.
- Our trip to Centennial Park is Wednesday, June 20. Information has been posted. (Fingers crossed for good weather.)
- Thursday, June 21 will be a morning of Aboriginal Education stations for the primary students with the Talent Show in the gym that afternoon. Please join us.
- Friday, June 22 is Primary Fun Day with outdoor activity stations in the morning and water activities in the afternoon. More info to come. Please join us.
- Big Little Science Centre will join us outside for an afternoon of bubbles on Monday, June 25.
- Our all-day trip to Isobel Lake is June 26. Parent helpers are needed please, although if there are too many volunteers some of you may have to travel in your vehicles. Information to follow.
- Thursday, June 28 is our last day (!!!), with an assembly and 12:00ish dismissal. Please make sure you take all of your child's belongings home, including inside shoes.
- We are down to 12 pairs of scissors from 26. If you find a pair at home could you please send them back. Thank you.
