The winners for the VIP Package have been drawn. Congratulations to Ghislaine Varin and Lori Valiquette who will have front row seating to the concert, VIP parking, a basket draw ticket and a 50/50 ticket.
Basket tickets can be purchased from PAC who will be set up in the library before each concert and after school on Thursday. The 50/50 tickets can only be purchase during each concert. Please bring cash only for these events. Please note: If you are dropping off baked goods for the bake sale, please drop your item off in the morning on Thursday in the Library. Thank you! The good news is, there are way better games now than there were when my kids were little. The early investment in gaming is so, so worth it. Besides, games are so deliciously pointless that when you play with your child you give them the message that spending time together is worthwhile enough. Which is an incredibly lovely message, isn’t it?
![]() The Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train program is returning to the rails to raise money, food, and awareness for food banks and hunger issues across Canada and the United States. The Holiday Train is about 1,000 feet in length with 14 rail cars decorated with hundreds of thousands of technology-leading LED lights and a modified boxcar that has been turned into a traveling stage for performers. Beginning in Montreal, two trains will make the festive journey, travelling through both the U.S. and Canada to bring holiday cheer to many communities along CP’s network. Each event is free, with CP encouraging attendees to open their cupboards and wallets to help address hunger needs in their communities. Local food banks will be accepting donations at each stop to ensure those less fortunate have enough healthy food this holiday season. The Canadian Train will depart Montreal on November 27 and will follow CP’s tracks west to Vancouver. Performing free concerts in support of food banks from Montreal to Calgary are performers Tenille Townes and Aysanabee, while first-time Holiday Train artists McKenzie Porter and Virginia to Vegas will finish out the tour departing out of Calgary and wrapping up in the greater Vancouver area on December 18. A great family activity for a good cause!
